Independence day!

What is this Independence Day??

What actually is Independence?

Independence from what??

Why celebrate this Independence Day?

How appropriate would it be today, to celebrate Independence Day?

All these questions travel in my mind many a times; the answers are pushed in to vain.  Firstly, this thought takes its process initiation of finding the meaning of independence. Independence, we all know the technical definition makes a form which involves  Sovereignty, self-government, liberty, freedom, etc…But why these many complications to define simple independence? During my school and college education, the meaning of the word independence, had been shaped complicatedly and accepted only if it involved only with above mentioned Greek and Latin. My mind started working as it recalled the fact that it is not just a database but an intelligent system. This resulted in to a question: What actually is the ultimate goal of every human? Isn’t it to experience freedom?

What is this freedom?

To understand freedom, we first need to understand the meaning of its antonym ‘restriction’ that is restriction from the ability to choose from an infinite range of responses, that is getting stuck in this or that possibility! And this is bondage! This bondage is always to our own beliefs, boundaries   conditioned responses. And these boundaries and beliefs are nothing but the ideas and concepts that we have committed to and accepted as truth! When these become as rigid and inflexible as concrete, we cannot see past them, since they become the prison walls that we unintentionally construct around ourselves.

Yes! That’s it! Today most of us have a bondage developed towards the west and we have accepted the truth that the west has all the extraordinary knowledge and they are almost next to Gods! We have a
created a concrete wall around our mind and become ‘kupamandukas’ and are not at all ready to know the truth that we are the best of all! And we are all living in that self created prison! Self created??? We
were made so that we create such a prison for ourselves! By the super brains of British!

India is a land which radiates knowledge and wisdom because of tremendous efforts of our past generations, with which, no dependency situation gets created.  In order to make Indians, their permanent slaves, the westerners felt.that the wisdom embedded culture of India is the only hurdle!
LORD MACAULAY’S ADDRESS TO THE BRITISH PARLIAMENT – 2ND FEBRUARY, 1835 was as follows:

“I have travelled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief! Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore I purpose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their selfesteem, their native culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation.”

It’s the fact that we allowed  them to successfully execute what all they planned. People lost their souls and became just a bundle of nerves and conditioned responses, which are constantly triggered by other people and circumstances, into totally predictable outcomes! We need to break down the conditioned responses; need to go beyond self created boundaries and experience the boundless! And that is what FREEDOM is!

The key ingredient of freedom is silent witnessing. Become aware of the situations, our choices and interpretations and then we experience freedom of choice at first! We need to live in self refereed consciousness that is to identify with our inner self instead of self image!
In a thought process to roll back the situation and to set back Bharath to her past glory, a thought just passed by,on understanding from what actually do we need to be independent? Freedom from what exactly? YES! It’s  freedom from the thoughts, lifestyle, dress sense, education, etc which are not at all ours’, had  never been ours’! Now, I was confirmed that we are not at all freed from the hands of the British!

To reflect the trade mark of India, we have nothing left to show !This reflects the fact  that we have lost our individuality, without which we cannot claim ourselves Indians!.

Freedom to our country was just a well played drama! It was just the transfer of dependency from the hands of British to our own people! And we are in such a state of mind that we never even try to understand this! Now, I started feeling hard, since I find people who never believe our own people for anything, but only westerners!

In the name of patriotism, we can find people getting misled,  that too youngsters who are in such a confused state of mind, where they are unable to judge the actual fact of what to? and what not to? Due to the lack of education in its true sense! And the politicians who are just the toys in the hands of the other countries have become the successors of those demons.

It’s very sad to see that we Bharatiyas are completely transformed, right from the way of thinking to the lifestyle!  We respect and follow their culture, happy to follow their dressing styles, to use their products although we have similar ones in our country, in an illusion that they are of high standards! Love to work in MNC’s, not in small scale industries, more happier to fly to other countries and work for them!. We use our brains to serve other- countries, improve their economy and showcase our nation as a poor country or ‘underdeveloped’ country! We are just the western minds in Indian bodies! I just then get very angry on such people.. In the greed for money, they themselves get in to slavery! And that slavery we now feel as a great symbol of dignity and richness. Why do we stay in such a kind of  illusion and never try to understand the fact that when there is no one to work for, improve the economy and the present social condition of our country, then how can our country improve! Every one is becoming just selfish!

Then a question arouse in my mind. Are we really independent then? Have we really got freedom? The answer was ‘no!’ When my country is in such a condition, how appropriate would it be to celebrate the Independence Day? It has to be celebrated only when we acquire total freedom! Dependency has to vanish even from our minds! Until then, how can I wish our people a Happy Independence Day? But there is a problem here.. the problem is.. our own people are not willing to get freed! That much they have been brainwashed! Until and unless they make up their mind to come out of this slavery, Bharath can never be freed from slavery!I have cried many a times, praying God, to help these people out, who
are really like kids(as I consider ignorant people) , who are unaware of their duties and
responsibilities, to bring them out of their ‘ajnana’Then my mind some what came to a kind of conclusion that Independence is an illusion which India is in from past 64 years .. its just transfer of dependency from British to our own people.

But! I am not ready to accept failure!!!!

No, we should win, at any cost!  May be it today or in the coming years!
Free Bharath Maatha from her slavery!
At least the future generations can see an accha saccha, swaccha Bharath!
Oh my great brothers and sisters… At least now awake! Join hands with each other.. Come let’s all work together… Don’t ever lose belief in our culture and tradition… and our knowledge…We are in no way inferior!

Let’s show   the world what we are!

Move together! speak together; let your minds apprehend alike; in like manner as the Gods concurring accepted their portion of the sacrifice. Common be the prayer of these (assembled worshippers) common be the acquirement, common the purpose, associated be the desire. Common be your intention, common be your hearts; common be your thoughts, so that there may be thorough union among you!
